Some 507 builders use VW Transporter centre caps and then 'attach' a Faux spinner to the centre cap. The cap then clips on to the (modified) wheel bolts heads.
There's a guy has made a Faux Rudge Knock-Off. I'd like to do something along the same lines.
He's made his own centre cap but then used a centre hub adapter to hold the cap onto the wheel. The spinner holds the cap on securely
I don't think I want to use an actual spinner. I'm leaning more towards the big centre nut like this (Except my wheel will be mostly body colour
My question is - what is that threaded hub adapter thing in his picture? If it's a kind of hub centric spacer that sits under the wheel - how thick is it?
I'd got wheels that look just like that (oval holes) I have an idea for the riveted-look centre cap - just that threaded hub thing I can't find. Anyone?
