How To Guide cover z3 door card

Hi All, I am looking to bring some life back into my door cards by covering the centre piece of the card.
From what I can see, the centre part will detach from the actual door card to enable it to be covered?
Has anyone done this project?
Do you have any ideas what material I can use?

Have you considered recolouring in situ? Likely to be much easier to do, assuming the material is sound?

If i remember rightly how he did it is on his progress thread.

I recoloured mine from cream to blue, much better to remove the card and take the insert out.

I used the blue leather colourant from furniture clinic (as in the middle pic) quite pricey but excellent product, I also did my seats
before and after on the seats
