What can I say - I was supposed to wait until March to take the car off SORN but I just couldn't resist the temptation.

So with the sun out it was time to get the top down and head out to the Peaks. Obviously there was only ever going to be one destination for the first drive of 2025 .

Roll on summer

It's not quite the same experience driving down the same road every time you go out when you're in a different zed every time.
Out is out though mate - that's all that counts

Had a run down to Burton-on-Trent this morning to collect a hardtop from a member of the Z4Forum.

Arguably the wrong end of the season to make this type of purchase but it was in the matching colour and came with all the accessories - the fact it was only just over 1 hour away was an additional bonus so I couldn't resist

When i bought the car the original grilles had already been swapped out for a matte black after market pair.

On the ///M the grilles sit further back but are otherwise the same part number.

So I've been after a replacement OEM pair which fortunately are the same (black with chrome surround) as those fitted to the 2.5 engined E85.

Managed to source a pair off Ebay from someone who had moved on to an F-Type and swapped them over today - suffice to say the originals fit much more securely

Interesting when I spoke to the guy he said although he liked the F-Type he was missing the E85 and preferred it's rawness compared to the Jag.

Was it a soft top F type Garrie, if it was the boot is big enough for a hand bag, but little else! I like the F type coupe , but really prefer the previous 'poor man's Aston Martin' Jag.

Yes mate it was the V6 soft top but like you I think the coupe is a much better looking car - much like the Z4 equivalents
