wondered how this can be done? There are a couple of easy steps.

1) cut the bonnet in Two pieces lengthwise

2) place bonnet in back of VW

Simples !

Note:
The bonnet was in quite good nick and I was going to move onto a new owner. However in the autumn storms it was blown onto a wall and big dents ensued. Thus rendering it as scrap :(

Thought I might as well make this a jokey thread. Oh and the seats are from a Ford Ka. I bought them for peanuts and was going to put them in the Kobra (maybe) they are going to a new home (for smaller peanuts).

Gonna have to pick you up on a technical point. You didn't cut through the centre line of the bonnet. Therefore you haven't actually cut the bonnet in half. You've cut it in to two =))

Cut in 3 and it goes in a Kia Rio, with the boot lid=))
Then a very slow drive to the tip:whistle:

I tried to get one into a Galaxy, wouldn’t go...hired a Van but that’s because I didn’t want a two piece bonnet to be resprayed and fitted!
